Enhanced recovery after surgery in chronic pancreatitis

Aim . To improve surgical outcomes in patients with chronic pancreatitis by means of enhanced recovery after surgery. Materials and methods. 112 underwent surgery over the past 5 years. Pancreatic head resection different variants was performed 78 (69.6%), 34 (30.4%) lateral pancreaticojejunostomy. All interventions were carried out through midline laparotomy. Enhanced for 48 (39.6%). The control group included 60 patients. Results. After pancreatic resection, main intensive care unit only on day As soon as pancreaticojejunoanastomosis formed, immediately transferred to department. Patients at least two days. Intestinal motility revealed 2, – days 3–4. Four (7.7%) 11 (18.3%) developed complications. No lethal registered group. One patient (1.7%) died average length hospital stay comprised 9 ± 2.5 15 4.7 ( p < 0.05). Conclusion reduces number postoperative complications, duration unit, and, therefore, improves immediate outcomes.
